Discover the Passion of dancing to a pulsating rhythm with one of the oldest dances of the middle east. Belly Dancing is for every woman to free herself from her burdens of daily life and lose herself in the rhythm. Belly dancing is about women loving their bodies no matter what their shape or size and to love to dance.  So join us for this introduction to the spirit of middle eastern dance, its sexy, exotic and great fun to learn.

 

Our special guest teacher is Caroline Evanoff . She has lead workshops and classes all over the world and has been belly dancing in Egypt since 1996. Her classes will help you to lose your inhibitions and provide an unique insight into this ancient art. During the week you will keep fit and learn the basic steps to ensure you can belly dance, any place and any time.

 

This women's only Dance workshop will give you the chance to discover the passion and spirit of this dance in a unique setting.

The workshop is for women only but you may bring your partner or hubby. They can keep themselves busy with diving, snorkelling, wind surfing and much more  - whilst you get to have all the fun.

 

Dahab is a perfect place for female travellers. For years Dahab has been a popular          destination for yoga holidays. Hundreds of women have come to Dahab alone over the  years. The holiday is set in a guest house managed by Nicole, an English woman who  also came to Dahab on her own for the first time in 2004!  She will make sure you are well looked after.

 

The Holiday programme

 

                                                    The workshop will be held over a 5 day period so that you can still                                                     have plenty of time to relax and explore Dahab. Our Special Guest Teacher

 

                                                                              You will learn the ancient art of belly dance                                                                                       with our special guest teacher Caroline                                                                                               Evanoff. Caroline is from Australia and  her                                                                                       experience of Oriental Dance has spanned                                                                                       over 10 years, since she moved to Cairo.                                                                                           She is one of the worlds master teachers                                                                                           and  has taught thousands of women how                                                                                         to shimmy and Shake to a pulsating                                                                                                     rhythmic beat. Some of which are now                                                                                                professionals  dancers themselves.

 

Caroline has developed a special programme for the week so that you will learn at a relaxed pace and can also offer optional additional evening sessions during the week.

 

 

Come for fun and you never know ; )  Belly dancing is addictive  - That’s how Caroline started!

 

A chance to dress up and show off

 

At the end of the work shop everyone will have the chance to dress up in full belly dance dress and show off their shimmies in a private party. Then those who are feeling brave and confident can hit the local nightspots and show off what they have learned.

 

 

Look Good and Feel Good

 

This holiday will give you plenty of time for sun and after the dance sessions you will feel great too. You burn on  average 330calories an hour dancing. Dahab has a great choice of  fresh food, healthy snacks and meals so you will leave looking and feeling great.

 

Belly dancing provides a great low impact cardiovascular workout and is great for strengthen abdominal muscles. Not only that but it is good for thighs and buttocks. It is an all round body sculptor and work with veils also exercises upper body and arms.

 

The setting

 

Dahab is an amazing place,  on the east coast of Sinai, its mix of Arabia and Egypt next to the red sea. Surrounded by desert and mountains with stunning landscapes, the setting for this workshop will ensure you leave with memories that will last forever. The workshop will be held at Sheikh Salem House, a small guest house in a quiet part of Dahab. An ideal base for the sessions and will also provide your accommodation for the week. We can provide a price for the workshops only if you have preferred                     accommodation in Dahab. Also accommodation only prices are available for those that want to bring their partners. Contact us for the prices of either accommodation only or workshop only.

Deluxe suites all feature air conditioning, modern ensuite bathrooms, fridge and kitchen area, colour satellite TV and much more.

 

Budget rooms are simply furnished with fans, shared bathrooms (with other women on the holiday), kitchen and dinning area.

Booking

 

Places for these workshops are limited to 10 persons per workshop week and room preferences are offered on a first come, first served basis. To book your place email us as soon as possible with your dates and room preferences. Payments can be made in cash, cheque or bank transfer. A deposit may be required, more information will be provided during the booking process by email.
