Groups and Families

Sheikh Salem House offers ideal accommodation for groups and families. Our Guest House comprises of just 10 suites on the ground floor, one three bedroom apartment and currently 5 budget rooms on the 1st floor. This provides a small and homely atmosphere which allows us to provide more personalised services to our guests. We welcome your special requests and we will go out of our way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

We have taken care to ensure our accommodation is safe and child friendly, so we tested it! It was tested by children of ages from 16 months - 12 years. Our twin sea view suites can all accommodate 2 Adults and 2 small children under the age of 8. Due to safety reasons we are unable to put triple single beds in any sea view suites. However we have a garden suite that can easily accommodate up to 4 adults or 2 adults and up to 3 children which makes for a perfect family size room.

Please note that we have a large dog here on site. He is well trained, very friendly and is excellent with children. However if you do have any concerns regarding this please contact us.

Families of 4 or more - here's an extra special option for a cheap holiday - stay in Rooms with Views the TAKE Three Option to rent the whole apartment for a week for the whole family. You will benefit from having a whole 3 bedroom apartment to yourself. Our price is 270 egyptian pounds each night for up to 6 people.

There are a number of professionally trained child carers in Dahab, speaking many languages with references available upon request. We can book any child care services you require either hourly or daily/nightly rates. There is also a day creche, one minutes walk from our site which offers excellent service and is managed to European Standards (Its is closed on Fridays and Saturdays).

Baby food and equipment

We currently do not have any special equipment here for young children (e:g cots, baby baths, high chairs). But we can obtain most things you would need if you let us know in advance. Dahab has very limited baby food options at the moment, but by request we can order items for you.

We have had babies staying at the guest house the youngest so far was 5 months old. We welcome children and families at Sheikh Salem House.

We can organise any type of event that a family would enjoy from a picnic or Bedouin Dinner in one of Dahab's beautiful remote places, beach BBQ, birthday parties to anniversary parties for your family and friends. Small events i:e picnic, BBQ or Bedouin Desert Dinner etc can be arranged upon arrival. But for special larger events for 8 persons or more please contact us well in advance with your preferences and we will arrange a quotation.

We recommend groups to come and stay with us and enjoy the home like atmosphere. We will aim to accommodate all persons in the group in suites or rooms close to each other for convenience. Please book well in advance so that we can accommodate everyone especially if sea view accommodation is preferred. Groups of 6 or more will receive 10% discount on the total accommodation price on the residences suites. 

Groups of 4 or more - here's an extra special option for a cheap holiday - stay in our three bedroom apartment for 270 Egyptian pounds per night. It sleeps 6 people and is a spacious apartment with amazing views of the Red Sea. Extra beds can be added for an extra nightly fee of 30 egyptian pounds per person, per night.

We can organise a private party for your group of six persons or more in any of these settings:

• On our beach

• In our garden

• In a restaurant of your choice (In Dahab)

• Bar or nightclub of your choice (including Sharm El Sheikh)

• In an outdoor location, theres nothing like a party under the stars!

In addition to this for larger groups we can organise parties with live entertainment. For example with live musicians and dancers, or DJs playing music of your choice or you can even bring your own DJs. We have a wide range of options available for birthdays, stag and hen parties, wedding parties and much more. Contact us for more information.

For groups of 6 - 8 people these parties can be organised upon arrival. For larger groups we will require at least two weeks notice. For outdoor parties we will need four weeks notice in order to obtain relevant permissions.

We can hold parties and functions on our site however we can only do this with consideration for our guests and neighbours. Advance notice is required so that we can ensure permissions are received from relevant organisations. Prices vary per head depending on your specific requirements but start from around £10 or €13 per head including evening meal. Advance booking is essential but please contact us with your requests or enquiries.

 

Our current capacity is as follows:

• The residence suites - maximum number of Guests= 22

• Rooms with views and apartment - maximum number of Guests =14 - 18

Total number of guests up to 36 - 40 persons.
