Our team is made up of dedicated individuals who want to help you to discover and enjoy Dahab. We are Bedouin Team from the local tribe assisted by an English woman and our aim is to make sure your stay is comfortable and most of all enjoyable and memorable.

Nicole - An English woman who moved to Dahab in 2005, following a few holidays here. Manages most things except her work life balance! Extensive experience in management, marketing, quality and safety. An award winning implementer of change and improvement in North East London National Health Service. Conference presentation and organising, teaching and course development, project management and business development. Interest areas nature, music and DJ-ing, creative and performance arts, cooking, Bedouin and tribal culture, new age, yoga and alternative therapies and eco friendly planet lover!

 

 

Sheikh Twalia is the head Sheikh of the Mozzina (also spelt Muzziena, Mossena) Tribe in Dahab and South Sinai and is the son of Sheikh Salem who built this wonderful house. Sheikh brings the Bedouin culture to our guest house as well as his inspiration. We work together with the Sheikh and his family and we are all working on some special projects to help his tribes people in more remote desert locations in Sinai.

Juma from the Sheikh's family, manages our excursions and safaris, staff and maintance. Juma is also one of the best Bedouin chef's in Dahab and manages a valley just behind Dahab where he organises Bedouin dinners.

Rubia is also a son of Sheikh Salem and you may see him here from time to time.

These guys can tell you much about life in the desert.

Sheikh Salem House is a sustainable tourism project in Dahab, South Sinai, Egypt. Our work started in 2006 with the redevelopment of the building Sheikh Salem House into a Guest House using natural or reclaimed materials where ever possible. This enabled us to offer both budget and mid range accommodation and the development of a cultural experience at the guest house.

Sheikh Salem House is owned by the family of Sheikh Salem and is managed in partnership with them.

Our partnership aims are:

• To deliver accommodation of quality and value, and services focused around the guest not around the business
• To employ local people and offer them development and training opportunities
• To promote and protect the environment of the house and of Dahab
• To promote the Bedouin culture and deliver this to a wider audience
• To promote creative and performance arts in Dahab from local and global sources
• To provide information on ecologically friendly activity and to phase in greener practices
• To deliver benefits to the community from profits generated by the business, and from holding some not for profit, and fundraising teaching and events (our aim is to establish a Dahab based NGO for community programmes).
